Symphony
Symphony is a system (hardware + software + service) designed to collect results from various laboratory instruments (digital radiography, ultrasound, CT, lab results, etc.) and communicate these results in a standard format to Fuga. This integration ensures that the results are automatically placed in the correct file, facilitating seamless integration with the patient's history in Fuga.
To achieve this, Symphony is capable of understanding the various "dialects" of different lab devices and translates these into the standard XML language for lab results specified by vetxml.org.
The Symphony hardware consists of a Raspberry Pi with an SD card, making it robust and easily expandable. Symphony runs on Raspbian, and the application itself is written in Java. Moreover, Symphony supports remote configuration and monitoring, enabling quick resolution of any issues.
Symphony interfaces with multiple instruments, including:
- Abaxis HM-5, VS-2
- IDEXX IVLS
- Medonic CA620 530
- Meletschloesing M Scan II, MS4S
- Mindray BC-2800, BC-5000
- Spotchem EZ SP4430, EL SE1520
Additionally, Symphony can connect to any device capable of placing DICOM images on the network, with the ability to add new devices upon customer request.
